Windows NT drivers are included on Disk #3 of this package. They are
located in the \NT351 sub-directory.
Procedure:
1. Run the Windows NT Display program located in the Control Panel, Main
group.
2. Select Change Display Type.
3. Select Change... from the display options.
4. Select Other...
5. NT will prompt you for the correct path, enter A:\NT351 where A: is
the drive containing the mach64 Disk #3.
6. An "ATI Graphics Accelerators" option will appear after reading the diskette;
with this option selected, click on the INSTALL button.
7. Windows NT will once again prompt for confirmation.
All appropriate files are then copied to the hard disk.
8. Restart Windows NT. Windows NT will start up using the mach64 drivers.
9. NT will boot into 640x480 mode and start the Display applet allowing
for mode selection.
Note: If you select a color depth or resolution not supported by your
card, NT will substitute 640x480 in 256 colors for the display.
2.1 Uninstalling the Windows NT drivers
How to uninstall the mach64 Windows Device Driver. There are TWO ways to
do this without re-installing Windows NT.
ONE method is:
CD \winnt351\system32\drivers
ren ATI.sys ATI.ati
Windows NT looks for ATI.SYS drivers at boot time, if it cannot find
it, it cannot use it.
SECOND method is:
While running Windows NT, execute the Win NT Setup program.
Select a NON-mach64 driver (try VGA-compatible)

3.0 Known Problems
Some applications do not handle 24bpp and 32bpp properly resulting in the
colors not looking right.
What to do if "ACCELERATOR not found" message appears:
Is there another adapter card in the system that CONFLICTS with I/O
locations in the 350-35F hex range? Relocate the I/O to 300 to 31F range.
Attempting to run the mach64 Install program under NT will report
"Mach64 Adapter not detected". The Install program must be run from DOS.
In certain instances after returning from a full-screen DOS session, the
mouse pointer may appear as a black square on the screen. For example, if
you run "Introducing Windows NT," and move the mouse pointer off-screen before
entering full-screen, then after you return to the desktop, this effect may
appear. This is a problem with NT's GDI.
