- card, NT will substitute 640x480 in 256 colors for the display.
-
-
- 2.1 Uninstalling the Windows NT drivers
-
- How to uninstall the mach64 Windows Device Driver. There are TWO ways to
- do this without re-installing Windows NT.
-
- ONE method is:
- CD \winnt351\system32\drivers
- ren ATI.sys ATI.ati
- Windows NT looks for ATI.SYS drivers at boot time, if it cannot find
- it, it cannot use it.
-
- SECOND method is:
- While running Windows NT, execute the Win NT Setup program.
- Select a NON-mach64 driver (try VGA-compatible)

-
- 3.0 Known Problems
-
- Some applications do not handle 24bpp and 32bpp properly resulting in the
- colors not looking right.
-
- What to do if "ACCELERATOR not found" message appears:
-
- Is there another adapter card in the system that CONFLICTS with I/O
- locations in the 350-35F hex range? Relocate the I/O to 300 to 31F range.
-
- Attempting to run the mach64 Install program under NT will report
- "Mach64 Adapter not detected". The Install program must be run from DOS.
-
- In certain instances after returning from a full-screen DOS session, the
- mouse pointer may appear as a black square on the screen. For example, if
- you run "Introducing Windows NT," and move the mouse pointer off-screen before
- entering full-screen, then after you return to the desktop, this effect may
- appear. This is a problem with NT's GDI.
